blurb about collection
Serial number 13673
This 1956 Fender Stratocaster displays the features common to that year, including: a one-piece chunky “V” profile maple neck with spaghetti logo on the headstock, single line Kluson Deluxe tuners (between 1954 and 1956 the cover had no “Kluson Deluxe” stamp), a comfort contoured alder body in standard two-tone sunburst finish, a single ply eight screw white pickguard, and a three-position pickup selector switch. This guitar still has the brittle “Bakelite” pickup covers and knobs phased out that year in favor of a more sturdy plastic. One master volume located closest to the player’s hand controls all the pickups, while separate tone controls are assigned to the neck and middle pickups. The bridge pickup has no tone control, allowing for full “take off” sound.
