blurb about collection
Serial number 026665
The 1958 Fender Stratocaster pictured displays the features common to that year, including: a one-piece maple neck with spaghetti logo on the headstock, single line Kluson Deluxe tuners (between 1954 and 1956, the cover had no “Kluson Deluxe” stamp), a comfort contoured alder body in 3-color sunburst finish (introduced that year, replacing 2-color sunburst), a single ply eight screw white pickguard, and a three-position pickup selector switch. One master volume located closest to the player’s hand controls all the pickups, while separate tone controls are assigned to the neck and middle pickups. The bridge pickup has no tone control, allowing for full “take off” sound.
