From Gibson:
"This very special limited run of 1958 ES-335 Reissue models celebrates the debut of one of the most versatile, game-changing and prolific Gibsons ever made. The ES-335 was the world’s first semi-hollow guitar model, imagined by former Gibson President Ted McCarty who later called it his proudest contribution. It has been in continuous production since its debut with support from countless legendary artists including B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Larry Carlton and Warren Haynes.
Gibson Custom Shop is proud to present this limited edition 1958 ES-335 Reissue featuring Murphy Lab heavy aging, a washed-out Faded Tobacco Burst finish, a big ’58 rounded neck profile and an unbound fingerboard — a feature found only on 1958 ES-335 models. This version is one of three commemorating the inaugural ES-335, limited to 130 instruments each in celebration of Gibson’s 130th Anniversary. Included with each guitar is a brown Lifton™ hardshell case with pink lining and a custom certificate of authenticity."
