Custom Shop Greatest Hits Volume II Hummingbird Koa/Carpathian Spruce - Honeyburst

From Gibson:

"Gibson’s Greatest Hits Collection comprises wild and adventurous reimagining of the brand’s most treasured models, with this Hummingbird swapping its historic spruce/mahogany recipe for a more exotic tonewood duo. This Hummingbird sports a Carpathian Spruce top that’s far stiffer than your typical slab of Sitka Spruce. Carpathian Spruce’s punchy projection and sheer volume have led many tonewood connoisseurs to compare it to Gibson’s original golden-age top wood, Adirondack Spruce. For the body, Gibson selected a figured set of AA koa - a tonewood with a far brighter and more focused voice than the Hummingbird’s standard Mahogany setup. It all comes together to form a tone that’s fresh and familiar at the same time, offering both longtime Gibson aficionados and newcomers an inspiring sonic foundation to build their signature sound upon."
