From Epiphone:

"For Every Kind of Heavy
Modern Les Paul performance, redefined in baritone form

The Epiphone Prophecy series has been thoroughly reinvented for players who prioritize speed, accuracy, and commanding tone. This is not merely a refinement, but a complete ground-up reconceptualization. Designed around the expectations of today’s dedicated musicians, the updated Prophecy lineup merges classic Epiphone heritage with progressive performance-driven innovation, resulting in instruments that are assertive, refined, and purpose-built for modern artistry.

Bold in both voice and appearance, Prophecy models stand at the leading edge of Epiphone’s lineup, delivering high-level craftsmanship, expanded tonal control, and performance-focused specifications suited to contemporary playing styles.

A standout expression of this design philosophy is the Prophecy Les Paul™ Baritone. It features a satin-finished, Ultra Modern weight-relieved mahogany body, topped with maple and a highly figured flamed maple veneer. The Modern Contoured Heel enhances upper-register reach while preserving the familiar silhouette, and a rear belly carve adds an extra layer of playing comfort. Its satin-finished, thermally aged one-piece maple neck is strengthened with graphite rods for increased stability and durability over time. The fast and comfortable Hyperglide B profile promotes effortless playability, while the extended 27” scale length, paired with .012”-.060” strings, is optimized for baritone tunings such as B to B. This configuration expands the instrument’s range between standard guitar and bass, maintaining familiar chord voicings while offering improved string tension, clarity, and low-end definition.

The bound ebony fretboard, with its 10”-14” compound radius and 24 stainless steel frets, delivers a smooth, precise, and highly durable playing surface. Black mother-of-pearl block inlays contribute to its sharp, modern aesthetic, while the multi-ply-bound headstock, featuring the Epiphone logo and Custom split diamond inlay, completes its premium presentation. Black hardware underscores the instrument’s contemporary, aggressive styling. Locking Grover® Rotomatic® tuners, a Graph Tech® nut, and a LockTone™ Modern bridge ensure reliable tuning stability and consistent performance. The through-body, Frequensator-inspired tailpiece design helps balance string tension across the instrument, enhancing low-end clarity, high-end expression, sustain, and ease of bending.

Driving the Prophecy Les Paul Baritone’s sonic range are custom-voiced Fishman® Fluence® pickups, developed exclusively for the Prophecy series. These advanced electronics provide three selectable tonal voices, accessed via intuitive push/pull volume and tone controls:
  • Modern, high-output active humbucker™ tones
  • Vintage-style Patent Applied For-inspired humbucker character
  • Clear, optimized single-coil-inspired sounds
Each pickup’s volume control manages coil splitting, while the tone controls select voicing, offering a broad tonal palette. This flexibility equips the Prophecy Les Paul Baritone to handle aggressive, high-gain styles while remaining equally capable in studio, rehearsal, and live settings.

With its tight, defined low end, focused midrange, clear articulation, and consistent performance, the Prophecy Les Paul Baritone is engineered for players who demand uncompromising results.

When speed, comfort, and precision are essential, the Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul Baritone delivers. Supplied with a Protector Ultralite case, the rebuilt Prophecy Series brings Epiphone’s next generation of speed, precision, and tonal versatility to players pushing heavy music forward, giving them the tools to turn the sound in their heads into something the whole room can feel, night after night, gig after gig."

Testimonials

We had a GREAT experience. Raina helped us and we were there buying a guitar for my daughter. We didn't know anything and she was mindful of budget, never made us feel stupid and explained everything clearly. I would happily refer friends.

I took a student of mine to get his first guitar...a PRS SE Custom 24. We drove 3 hours to the guitar mecca of Wisconsin. Big shout out to Brett, Jordan, Christian, Brandon and Dave. I also took my student to see the collection upstairs and Dave was kind enough to answer some trivia questions concerning the PRS collection. Great experience, worth the travel. Thanks and Rawk on!
